With all of our premium remote starts we use integrated canbus remote starts. That sounds complicated but it's quite the opposite; today's cars are "digital" and more often then not need a remote start that can safely communicate to the car.
Historically, analog remote starts depend on a "module" to be installed in sync to, communicate to the car. The issue is it requires an additional line of communication between devices causing more reliability problems, less customization options, less compatibility; but it's cheaper!!!
We aren't trying to use cheap parts on your vehicle. We use Voxx Electronics integrated canbus/remote start OR Viper/Astro integrated DS4 system in every premium installation (2 way remote starts).
We pay more to do it right the first time! Along with that, most modern cars have the option to have a T-harness installed which provides an even more seemless install (we stock and sell more T-harnesses than any store in the Anchorage area)!
